So I just discovered something straight out of a fever dream…

Apparently, from 2014 to 2017 a number of artists from all over the world recreated the Manga Akira with characters from The Simpsons and called it “Bartkira”

and this wasn’t just some “ha ha look at this funny thing” oneshot…

they recreated all 6 volumes with 300-400 pages each

Bart is Kaneda, Millhouse is Tetsuo and Akira… well Ralph is Akira…

CHINA IS TAKING OVER AFRICA 🗣🗣🗣

How so

China is legally, financially colonizing the entire continent by taking over Africa’s infrastructure.

They’ve have done so by making loans to African countries that they KNOW won’t be able to pay them back. Once the country defaults China exacts repayment by taking over an aspect of their infrastructure. They took an airport and an electric grid in Tanzania and a port in Kenya

Yes! Thanks Queen 🤗

^^Also just a little fun fact

More evidence

This has been going on for the better part of two decades (forgive me if its been going on much longer, but my life on this planet has been relatively short). Here’s an article from five years ago detailing the experiences of ‘The New Imperialism’ by Chinese interests. Under the guise of public works projects and investment in infrastructure, China is successfully securing its position on the entire eastern part of the continent.

It is no coincidence that the U.S. and other western (i.e. European) countries have such a huge presence in Western and Northern Africa. Under the guise of fighting the War on Terror™, China and The West™ alike are swooping into the continent in a new wave of 21st century neo-imperialism. There are literally hundreds of thousands of Chinese citizens living in a Chinese diaspora throughout Eastern African countries, most of whom are likely engineers or other technically-educated individuals who are there to oversee these projects such as:

China is spending billions investing in African infrastructure, and it is not out of the kindness of their hearts. It is of the utmost importance that we do not walk away from this thinking that China is unique in its hegemonic ambitions. China’s heavy involvement and investment in East Africa, Central Asia, and East Asia are prima facie evidence of their intent to usurp economic and political hegemony from The West™ by playing the same game the U.S. (et al.) has been playing for decades.

A little infrastructure here, a touch of educational endowment there, sprinkle in some nation-building and viola! you have a recipe for success…supposedly. Of course, all of these investments are being protected by an increasingly militarized Chinese presence, including a naval base in Djibouti.

Again, I want to stress the importance that these actions do not existence in a vacuum. China is moving tit-for-tat against the U.S. and European powers who have an analogous presence in Africa.
